Paths
- __startuppath__ is obtained by the
os.getcwd() method. Check that it is writable?
mudashed needs to get it before calling musuite.
- it is called by the launching command: python script, jupyter notebook directly or through
mudashed (e.g. in Mudashed.ipynb).
musuite gets it as an arg and mufit, mufitplot inherit it with the musuite instance.
- fit/ csv/ data/ cache/ grp/ plots/ are placed in startup path
Data

Tests
Strategy to have tests and their data in the distribution, as demos, without messing up
- store tests within src directory \mujpy, \mujpy\tests
- keep \data inside with a few gps (bin), lem (root) and isis (nxs) runs
- mudashed acquires kwarg test = None
- when test in ['gps','lem','musr'] [create a special Mudashed-tests.ipynb) mudashed copies the corresponding runs in __startuppath__ + 'data/' (os independent)
- if dir exists and is not link abort printing start tests in an empty folder
- if dir is a symlink, clear it and resymlink
- if it does not exist symplink
- copies corresponding tests in __startuppath__
- copies [dashed] and corresponding jsons in __startuppath__+'fit/'
- DL will show the data and LF will allow selection of the test, [make A1,...C2 settings and fit choice more obvious]
- update py scripts in tests to add the same features:
- check __startuppath__ is writable, suggest a disposable folder such as tmp, copy tests and data before launching streamed simulations
- individual tests produce coherent project folders, the full test.py suite mixes them up [suggest starting them in tmp]
Groups
- Standard groups are packed in the distribution, subfolder tests/grp. Linked/copied to data/grp/ (see os.symlink(src, dst))
- Installation may copy them to ~/.mujpy/grp/
- User may save additional ones there (through
mudashed)
