- for both multi run single group and single run multi group asymmetry is a 2d numpy array: the same type of animation loops over either runs or groups
- for multi run, multi group have asymmetry is a 3d numpy array; e.g. 10 runs, 2 groups, 24000 bins produce shape (10,2,24000)
