InversionRecoveryAndT1< The spin echo to measure T2 | Index | The magnetic interactions > The simplest way to measure the {$1/T_1$} rate is by the inversion recovery sequence: a {$\pi$} pulse reverses the nuclear magnetization, and, after a variable waiting time {$\tau$}, during which only {$T_1$} processes occur, since there is no precessing component, a {$\pi/2$} pulse brings the residual nuclear magnetization to the precessing plane. Signal recording allows the residual amplitude to be measured. Repetition of this sequence with variable waiting time allows {$T_1$} to be measured. < The spin echo to measure T2 | Index | The magnetic interactions > |
